i have a set of Mugen Low Downs but I am keeping them safe for my white ITR which I plan on restoring after this one and hopefully doing a Mugen theme with it.

This is doing it right! Did you send out your brake calipers for yellow zinc plating? If so, who did you use? The one in the pics looks great.
edit: I just saw your post that you sent them out.

The rear struts were an option on JDM ones anyway. As far as I know they weren't available on the European R's. No idea regarding the North American markets. As for finding one? They very rarely come up. Few enough originally ordered one it seems.
There is an option though. The bar is exactly the same bar as the easily found front and a company in the UK Tegiwa has made up exact copies of the Honda end mounts(only difference being the originals are metallic grey like the front, the copies are black). Have a click here for info. They come up on eBay from time to time too. To mount the brace you have to cut your shock tower covers, but Tegiwa supply the templates and the rubber finishing strip for the cut edges. Which I am truly shocked and saddened to see Silver GSR has forgotten to add.
