Bought my wife a 2011 CR-V EX-L last night and I can't wait to tear it apart
Been a Toyota guy for most of my life but I've always been around Hondas by way of family members and friends, so I know about their reliability. This will be the first one in my garage. Looking forward to lurking and digging for stuff here.
Man you guys got some clean looking rides, here's my budget build 96 EK with JDM D 15 B3 stage VTEC, I got a bunch of bolt Ons mostly stock motor with buddy club vtec controller to control my second stage vtec. Hooking up zex nitrous kit more pics to follow! Cheers!
Hi folks,
I'm here so I can find help with my wife's 2006 Pilot with 260k mi, and maybe help some other people with theirs.
We had an issue with her Pilot making a gurgling / ticking sound coming from behind the dashboard. It would go away when the temp was raised / lowered. Long story short, the air mix motor / blend motor has a pcb inside it that tells the motor where / how far to turn. That pcb wore through and the motor had a hard time sensing where it was at / where it should be, so it would "hunt", and therefore move quite a bit when it shouldn't be.
I designed a replacement pcb and replaced it, and it's been working perfect since! Cleaning the pcb in my case had no effect; the traces were worn through.
Here's what my new pcb looks like.
This is Eshwar Prasad and I have just joined the forum. A big fan of the Honda City and Civic, I hope to interact with many members who are die hard Honda fans.
Hi everyone. Glad to join the community. First time joining a forum. I own a 95 civic hatchback with original paint. I do most of the work on it myself. I am a self-taught amateur mechanic. This forum has provided many of the answers to questions I've had while fixing the car. I love this resource. Unfortunately I had to join this forum before I can contact or communicate with some of the people posting to ask them questions. Good luck for me because I joined! Now I might find answers to those annoying questions I need answers for to make the car better. It's old, so I'll need some help. Good thing there are a lot of good people on this forum. Cheers!
Hi guys, I'm a new owner of Honda CR-V and I'm also new on this forum. Just want to say that I have never drive the best vehicle in my life all recommendations for the new CRV!!!
Hello everyone my name is Michael I am sorta new to the Honda world as far as mechanics goes . Anything you would like to know about me or my LUDE just ask me

Hey guys my name is Joe and I am pretty new to playing with Honda's. I sold my AP1 s2k last summer for money to start my own business. I picked this little 91 civic Si with a rebuilt motor in that only has 2500 miles on it for $500. I am still in the process of fixing it up but over all the car is really clean. And one day I will add VTEC, when I find a head lol. 432094[/attach]')]IMG_0352.JPG
Whats up Honda-Tech! i have been on this forum a whole bunch (never posted) since i have purchased my EJ1, and have learned a whole lot from the members on here. below is a collage of pics of my car. i am currently enlisted in the Marines, and stationed in Okinawa, Japan for about 3 more months until i get out and go back to Buffalo, NY. when i return to my car im going to have some different plans for it, more of a road racing or possibly auto cross setup. i will focus mainly on suspension well before motor/power modifications. unfortunately this car had most of its modifications when i bought it. i am a fan of the whole built not bought saying, but by the time i am done with this car and my own modifications, i will be able to say it was my build. thanks for all the info i have learned from this page! motor is a b18c.
Hey guys,
Brand spanking new into the Honda game. Found meself an unmolested 1997 Civic EX w/ manual (Told meself I'd only own a fwd car if it were manual so). Anyways, here it is, everything works except cruise control which is probably just jammed cause of oxidation. Hoping to get some good info on here, and from what I've seen the Honda community is by far the nicest. I had a Miata before and HOLY HELL they'd rip you to shreds if you so much as put TEINs on it.
Hi everyone my name is Dylan. I've been using this forum to gain knowledge for years and I decided i should finally join now. I drive a boosted b16a civic
engine specs:
arias forged flat top pistons (around 9.5:1 compression)
eagle rods
arp head studs
ACL race bearings (big ends)
t3t4 turbo
stock head
It makes around 173 kw on low boost and 202 kw on high boost (I feel like it should be making more)
other mods:
isc fully adjustable coilovers
upgraded brake disks and endless pads
act clutch
That's all I can think of now but anyway, look forward to chatting to you guys!
hey all just joined up. I have a 2015 crz with minor mods, and more on the way. it's my daily driver so I'm not looking to rice it out. just some tasty mods to more fully enjoy the car. I've been posting over at the crz forum for a bit now but wanted to stretch my little wings a bit and check this place out. gathering as much info and opinions I can regarding which directions to go will greatly help me in my search for the best products for the best overall outcome. thanks for letting me join in all the Honda fun!
I picked up my 2000 CR-V, 5 speed a little over a year ago now with plans to turn it into a reliable camping/backpacking/climbing vehicle. The majority of the work I have done since I got it has been preventative maintenance like the timing belt and replacing worn out parts. I recently had a chance to do a few modifications though and now it has a 1 inch lift (barely noticeable) on bilstein shocks and ARB springs and some General Grabber AT2's on some Method rally wheels. Looking forward to checking out some cool projects and getting some good info for repairs on this forum!
You have come to the thread dedicated to Member Introductions.
We've noticed many threads created by new members who wish to introduce themselves to our subforum membership. While these types of threads don't fit well in the 92-00 Civic/Del Sol forum, which is dedicated to technical discussions, they seem to generate a significant amount of interest. So rather than close these non-technical threads, we decided to consolidate them here.
From this point forward, please post your member introductions in this thread. Old and new member introductions are welcome.
***Please limit each introduction post to just a few pictures having dimensions no larger than 1024 x 768so that this thread does not become too unwieldy. __________________
Glad to have found this site. Really need to sell my grandson's 1989 CRX si. It is a great ride but he needs a work car.

Hello! my name is son, I recently found a great deal on a 1996 Civic dx hatch! it came with a Skunk 2 tower strut bar, intake, rear break conversion to the 98 crx si-r brake, D16Y8 and 2000 SI wheels, it has roughly 247XXX miles and runs great! no CEL but it needs some loving! I joined the forum to invite you guys into the journey to restoration of my EK hatch!
Hello all. Long time Honda advocate. Thanks for the add. I'm doing a full restore on an 89 CRX SI. Blue unit is the build and red unit has B16 set up and better sheet metal. Hoping to be burning gas by August .
I was given a 1995 Honda Accord, 4dr 6 cyl with 105,000 on it. Don't think the previous owner didn't much (any) maintenance, so I am dealing with issues related. Just moved back to Colorado so getting emissions testing, etc. In addition, need to reset the computer(s). Will do a search and see what you'all have! thanks!
Hey guys! My name is dash, recently purchased my second accord my first one was an 02 4cyl 5spd lx model as my first car... Now it's time for what I really wanted. I own a 04 6cyl 6spd coupe and was wondering if the suspension is interchangeable between the 98-02 accords and the 04 that I have now haven't been able to find an answer. This is my baby. Any suggestions on where I should start with my first time build I am all ears. Already started with a borla exhaust. Suggestions?
Hello HT! Been around for a while and finally made an account to participate in the HT world. My name is Zach and I live in the Lone Star State. My first Honda was a 1994 EJ1 and I still have her with a blown engine 😔 water got higher than it usually does in Texas and she took a big drink. I also just recently bought a fully intact 1992 ls Teggi and plan to bring the EJ back to life with that. As soon as I've compiled a full parts list that is lol. Used to hate them and now I love them. Not 100% sure why I can't post a pic but I'll work on posting some soon. Thanks for having me.
