Nice... that's a good approach. I think I have the same turbo and very similar setup. That a .63/60 t04e? I'll post mine up tomorrow when I get the rest of my line put in. I've already got my coolant lines to turbo, wideband wires, secondary crank ventilation (scavenge to exhaust), and the extra filler neck for the scirocco radiator all crammed in that area. I see how you're having to hold up your upper rad hose to get a shot of your turbo line, haha. Hardly any room to work with in an ef.

Yes, you're correct. I think it might be a t04b though (it's been there for awhile)

I mocked mine up before I installed it and that's when I noticed how difficult it would be to access. So, learn from my ways and install the oil feed on the turbo before putting the turbo to the manifold. Good call on noticing me holding the hose up....lol

Here's my hard line adapted to a 28" PTFE teflon SS braided line. An4 on every connection. Bolted only to the engine so it moves with vibration, etc..

You should get some longer exhaust studs. Here's a link to what I run, they work great

Is it a concern for strength or just easier to take on and off? There's plenty of thread for the nuts to bite if that's what you're thinking. It is SO tight in an ef that if they were any longer it would actually be a problem taking the whole thing off the head. I had to wiggle it around even as it is.

Ah I see. It just looks like the "locking" part of the oem nut is not contacting the threads from the pic. Maybe just a different type of locking nut, if you have problems down the road with them backing off. I personally hate **** coming loose lol.
