So I was looking at my motor and trans and and looking at the bay and I just hated putting a dirty *** motor in the car but I hate painted blocks with that silver stuff. Ended up painting the block an trans with high heat primer and black paint and now it looks soooo good and will look soo much better in the engine bay,
Gonna hate work in a few hours but well worth it! motors in, engine harness tucked into cabin, still truckin!
Also, Went to demo a school and first room I went into (ShopClass) was a ******* HOLSET HX35 turbo chillin on the floor! Told my boss im taking it home its in perfect condition just has a bit of sawdust in and around it so im gonna take it apart and clean it.
Soooo haven't posted in awhile. Have alot of progress done to the car just no pictures really. Have no phone and sold my Nikon D5100 and I'm to lazy to charge my go pro lmao. But shes almost ready for the road!
Heres a quick shitty quality vid of me working the transtop for the 1st time.
So basically the car is runs, It's revving around 3grand so the icv is shot ive tried 5 or 6 around the shop they were all gone lol, Got my valve cover done! Cut off the timing belt cover on the valve cover and got it all painted.
brakes and clutch are bled and good no leaks drove the car out of the garage to park it its been out in the pouring rain for acouple days. filling the trans with fluid tomorrow to drive it to the under ground to store it. Car cannot sit outside in the rain at all without being covered due to a hole the prev owner made in the cowl for the brakeline tuck -_- Interior is all together for now all I have left is to tuck the light harness but who needs lights in the daytime ahahah.
Also having a weird issue with my transtop..... Works great!!! when the alternator is unplugged. once I plug it in the transtop will not do anything which is very strange and haven't found anyone else with this problem yet.
But hopefully soon I will have better pictures of the car I am absolutely dying to detail it its so filthy inside and out aha.
Yeah man! planning on ordering a black suede NRG steering wheel and make m door panels and rear plastics black suede aswell, Would be awesome to get some black suede bride seats but only the future will tell what happens aha
sweet so your just going to convert the grey parts to suede? That will look nice! All I need for my interior now are the EDM and JDM visors. My gather grilles are on the way. I'm pretty close to completing my interior next to a type r steering wheel.
Haven't really posted in awhile, life has been pretty crazy. I'm work 6 days a week 12hours so I'm pretty much to tired to work on the delsol. But it's spring and the delsol should be out soon even though we are still getting snow in Nova Scotia. Couple updates
Picked up a clean 94 civic coupe for a daily because my girlfriends 02 sedan **** the bed. It's auto D15 but at this point I really don't care.
Here's some awesome updates on the DelSol. I traded the turbo I found for some red leather S2K seats and it was well worth it! I hooked up my AEM wideband last night and now I am getting ready to wire tuck my headlight harness and hook up vtec and my rad fan wire.
Finally did some wiring on the headlight harness, wires extended, tucked and soldered. Also hooked up the HID kit I ordered awhile ago. Still have to wire up vtec and get a slim rad fan. Then the car will be on the road and ready to get a tune. Also am in need of a cf Hood Cowl so when it rains no water will get in the cowl since there's holes drilled through it to run the brake line kit. I live in Canada an it rains quite a bit =\
Hooked up everything and stuck the HID Ballest on the car. Put everything back together again. Put some LED's in the side markers and rear plate fillers, this weekend I plan to wire up vtec and few little things, need a slim fan and then it's ready to daily
I just saw that you did haha do you honestly like the s2k seats or the recaros more for comfort?
Yeah man I sold the DC2 Recaros to pay for the shell, And as for comfort the Recaros were awesome but I honestly love the S2K seats more, there are lighter, they sit lower like the stock sol seats and they are comfy. The hug you but not asking as the Recaros but I am very happy with them.
