This guy used a stolen credit card to pay me through Paypal. Paypal refuses to refund my money and this guy vanished with my pistons. All I know about him is that he lives in West Haven CT........he is a tall skinny red haired guy named John

you need to contact Pay pal, and probably need to file a police report.
I think it is pay pals responsibilty to verify the owner of the credit credit card.
I'd go after pay pal

 

I have tried dealing with paypal and they basically told me to **** off. Its not worth spending $2k on a attorney to get $450 back. I need somebody in CT to talk to him, honda-tech style

 

yeah, similar thing happened to me. have cops subpoena aol to get his address and go after him that way. paypal is ****; a ****** sent me an empty hard drive box with a tracking # instead of my ctr cams, and 3 mths late. paypal said they don't care what he sent, as long as he proved he sent something; i told the rep 'thanks for helping me launch my new carrer in i-net fraud, selling everything, and sending only confirmed-mail envelopes'. good luck, man.

I actually had Paypal scam me out of $660!

Here's how it works,

bought some parts paid with paypal,they charge my cc and pay seller. Then next day they reverse payment and I get a email saying "ocassonally we flag users in good standing for fraud investigations" So I have to send paypal copy of drivers license,phone bill,bank statement,electric bill,etc. I would have told them to f**k off if they didn't have my money.

So, I give them the info they want. Then they say they didn't get it, then they say they did. So they reinstate my account a month later. Meanwhile my money has been in limbo, so I call because they haven't paid the guy or me.

They don't know what happened, they didn't pay me back or pay the seller. Get them on the phone and ask for a supervisor they can't figure it out. Their answer is to say "can you hold on for a minute" and put you on hold till you hang up 75 min later.

My gut tells me someone at paypal is lining their pockets.

Avoid paypal like the plague!!!!

I'm somewhat confused here. Are you saying that PayPal put money in your account & then took it away after you mailed this joker your pistons? I wonder if waiting until PayPal transfer funds to our bank accounts before sending out merchandise will help. It seems like once money has reached our bank, we should be safe. This is kind of like waiting for check to clear.

May I add paypal duped me $375 due to a scammer. I now no longer use it to pay people because they do not get back your money. (they gave me back 2.30 out of 375 after a month) USE ESCROW USE ESCROW USE ESCROW

If the seller or buyer will not use escrow, they do not have anything to offer you except a rip-off. Take care and drive hard!

 

if he mailed you something that wasnt what you had agreed on, that is mailfraud a FEDERAL OFFENSE - go after him with that - its better than not getting anything, because he can goto federal pound me in the *** prison instead of county

 

I called the FBI, and they acted like I was wasting their time. Paypal are ******* thieves, no better IMO than the ****** who ripped me off

 

And people wonder why I don't use paypal or buy off partstrader.

USPS money order is my choice.
Under $25 and a personal check is fine.

So many people getting ripped off lately.

I also do NOT trust anyone with a hotmail account.
