What Camber do Hoosiers like ?
Gentlemen,
What Camber (Front and Rear) do the Hoosier R3S03 Road Race tires like to see for maximum grip and wear ???? These will be used for Solo One events. Hoosier reccomends 3 degrees neg ... what have you guys found works well.
The Final adjustment will be done with a pyrometer, but a good starting point would be appreciated.
Daily Driven .... 93 Civic Si Hatch ... 2002 setup
-Tein HA's w/ 12kg/mm(680 lb/in) fronts and 18kg/mm(1000 lb/in) rear springs
with About a 1.5" drop (Something tells me that I am going to want to swap suspension when I swap tires/brakes at the track ... 680 lb/in rear springs were bad enough in 2001)
-13mm Civic EX-V rear swaybar
-Skunk2 adjustable front upper contol-arm, Ingals adjustable rear upper comtrol-arm
-The usual strut braces
-Custom 4 point roll bar
-Hoosier 225-45-15 R3S03 on Enkei RCT 15x7 rims (Dry Setup)
-Toyo 225-50-15 RAI's on TSW 15x6.5 Quad 4's (WET setup)
Cheers

Re: What Camber do Hoosiers like ? (Moosilla)
My GS-R likes 2 degrees at all four corners. Perfectly even wear, tire temps look good, and good grip too. I honestly don't know why people run as much camber as they often do with Hoosiers...I've heard of 3 and sometimes more degrees.
Maybe I'm simply not driving fast enough.

on the sticker that was stuck to my r3s03's, it said 3 degress would be optimal-or something like that. Depends on the weight of your car and tire profile I would guess. Pyrometer is the only way to know for sure.
