USTCC going to slicks?
USTCC is going to be going to slicks according to the hankook link below (Could be a rumor not sure) what do you think this will do for the series? do you think it is a good or bad idea?

hi.
i don't think USTCC is part of NASA; i think they just share track time at some events. some other events they run at are not NASA events....

PS i would really be surprised if they went to "real" slicks. i would hope that they would continue to run on DOT R compound tires.

hi again.
i bet by "slicks" he means they are going to the Z214 DOT Hankook R compound; that one has no real "tread" on it; it looks just like the Hoosier DOT tires (just 2 circular grooves). but its still a DOT radial tire...
that would be fine; i would hate to see it go to a real "slick", like a Dunlop or Yokohama or Goodyear; those require special setup and wear very quickly and are usually more expensive....
