tokico lllumina struts
how many people here have tokico lllumina struts and are satisfied with them. The reason why I ask is because, I ve always used kyb struts for my rides and have been satisfied, but now I want to try something new, Ive heard good things about tokico, only thing is that alot of people say that they go out fast, and have a short waranty, so let me know from personal experience what you guys think, thanks

Re: tokico lllumina struts (eg6ken22)
had the struts for a year now and i personally like it but its not going to be a big jump from the kyb adjustable struts.
*never heard about it crapping out early but we'll see*

Re: tokico lllumina struts (Fuuma0083)
I've only had mine for about a month and I'm lovin' them so far. Considering I had Monroes before that's probably not saying much. I agree with Fuuma0083 that there's not going to be too much of a difference over the KYB's. If you really want to step up, go with the Koni's. Too much $$$ for me though.

I wouldn't call a lifetime warranty "short." I'm happy with mine so far (three or four months), but I'm running stock springs because I autocross in Stock class. I was replacing the factory shocks with 130,000 miles on them, so I'd probably have been happy with darned near anything.

Re: tokico lllumina struts (eg6ken22)
I have 10+ year old Illuminas on my ITC CRX and these were driven on the street for ~4 years before the car was converted to IT racing. They leak a bit now and are problably not doing much on the rear with 600 #/inch springs but they still function. I will hopefully upgrade to Koni sports soon if things work out.
Just installed a set on my 93 Integra street car over memorial day weekend- I love them here also. Would have loved to get Koni sports but could not justify the extra cash (sorry Lee).

Re: tokico lllumina struts (ITC Racer)
thanks fro all the help everyone. Actually I will probably be getting tokico's because I have that eyelid or something rear lca's, and kyb doesnt make that type of rear strut. I understand I can just switch my lca's but still wanted to try something new, thanks everyone
