lol, I did not expect that. Interested to hear more, because initial feedback wasn't very positive from what I had been hearing.

Is there a 225 Hoosierstone in the works? (I can't check TireRack 'cause The Man has it blocked. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

I meant more opinions, you obviously have good things to say.

At the end you mentioned 225 RE71s... are they coming out with 225/45/15s?

I dont think that the 225 RE71's will be produced until 2018 or 2020, i've heard two different rumors.

One point that i didnt put in the review was that on a final hot lap in my 3rd session i had a predictive 1:43.6 lap in the works, before i was black flagged for sound (which turned out to be the Porsche GT4 behind me - i know.. easily mistakable cars), that would have made it 1.5 seconds faster.. which would have been very notable, but with out "real" data - i didnt want to post based on speculation.

Overall the RS4 is awesome, and the RE71R is awesome.. but i feel that the RS4 is more controllable, but if i would continue running them, i'd dial out some negative camber to about -2.5* and stiffen up the rear suspension so the corner exit understeer could be dialed out. But it all depends on your driving style and track. The RE71R has better straight line speed (but thats mainly because its a lighter narrower 205 wide tire).

There both super competitive so you cant really go wrong with either..

Great article tcrane. Good information and well written. Wish it could have been a 225 vs 225, but we can thank Bridgestone for that!
