Default Quick release fasteners

Can anyone tell me of a good quick release fastener for a front airdam? I would just rivet it on, however, the car will not make it up onto the trailor with the airdam in place. If anyone has any experience with this or recommendations, please let me know.

I hear about Dzus, but I have no personal experience with them.

Dzus or Sert-A fasteners are the way to go. I opted for Sert-A fasteners, which you can get at Home Depot. Basically these work like a pop rivet, except their hollow and threaded to accept a screw. So you "rivet" them into the bumper cover and you can then hold the front air dam on with a screw thru the dam and into the Sert-A threaded sleeve. Works very nicely.

Doh!

I just pop riveted my ghetto-*** air dam (maybe that should be air damn )

Oh well. It's a race car, so I guess if I get something fancy one of these days, I'll just cover up all the holes with some duct tape.

Thanks for the replys guys. Ill swing by Home Depot and see what they have to offer.

Has anyone used something like a toggle latch? (one part of the latch connects to the bumper cover, the other to the airdam)

krshultz- If I were able to get the car up onto the trailor with anything more than the stock front spoiler (its an ITA prepped CRX) then I would pop rivet the airdam on as well. The car is nothing beautiful. I just finshed painting the car. Backyard special with $100 single stage paint. Orange peel galore!
