i have a jdm b18c and an 8 pound aluminum flywheel with stock gsr usdm trans...is this going to be okay for daily driving....what are the ups and downs of the lighter flywheel? I would appreciate any kind of help thanks...

i figured guys in autocross would use lightweight flywheels when racing to to the fact that it revs up faster....but thats all i know about them

 

They do, in some classes, but you're asking about daily driving/street use. Search for "flywheel" on this forum for what it does exactly.

 

i have found a few but seems like everyone disagree on a lot...i was looking for someone that has driven a car with stock flywheel and same car with light one...someone with actual knowledge of the flywheels duty...and the effects it has on things

 

because we use them in a race application, doesnt mean we know what they are like for a street useage. i say run it.

Stock transmission = great for around town driving. No problem.
