Default Pics or info on quick release front bumper set ups

Looking to do some sort of quick release set up for my front bumper. I've tried to find pics of the SSR system and can't find any. For those who made the front bumper quick release what have you used? Pics would be great. So far its either dzus or maybe the SSR if I find more info.

Thanks lot.

I was also looking at the SRR one. I'm curious as to what exactly makes it "quick release". If someone could explain the system, it should clear it up for me

I think it would help tremendously if I ever had to have my car towed *knock on wood*. That way the ******* don't scrape the bumper/lip.

I have the SRR kit. Not installed yet. It basically consists of elastic bands that hold the bumper in place:

What do you consider quick release? As in under a minute? My friend doesn't use the rebar in his civic bumper and just made up some brackets to bolt the bumper on. 2 10mm bolts in the front and the philleps screws on the side comes off in under a minute for sure...pretty strong and really great for towing.

I'm really wanting to see some pics of it installed. It seems like both Road Race and Drag sanctions wouldn't allow it because its just rubber bands holding the bumper on, but thats just a thought, thats why I'm trying to get more info on it.

My front end is held on with zip ties and some screws. A couple snips and a few screws later it's off. Very quick, the down side is you need to use new zip ties everytime you take it off. Much cheaper than that kit though.

Adam,

Please don't put that on Pete's h1 car. His splitter will rip the bumper right off with those. It 'should' be okay for your ITR, with no splitter. IMHO.

John- who has tested most quick releases and doesn't trust any of them.

i think the only way to have a quick release bumper with a splitter on it as well would be to use zeus fasteners. that would take some time setting it up, but once the bugs are worked out it should be good. we use them on aircraft cowlings woth no problems.

DZUS Fasteners There quick, easy to use, easy to replace, and work on everyone elses race car . Thats what i have on my 00 Si... a Dzus on each side and the factory Honda quick clip rivets in the top. I can get my bumper off in about 1 min.

Thank you. Finally, someone else who appreciates the simpler things in life.

John -- who uses the 5 factory screws at the top, one zip-tie at each side, and another one at the bottom to hold his front bumper on.... with the RRG.com splitter. Off-road tested... more than once

Mine (DC2 Integra) goes on with the following:

- 10 or so screws that hold the top of the bumper onto the car
- 4 zip ties (two per side) hold the corners on at the fenders

Removal is a side cutter and a screwdriver away. The most difficult part (solely because of my own implementation) is the brake ducts. I use hollowed out corner lenses and the ducting ALWAYS seems like it's too short when it's twenty minutes to grid...

Unless I'm mistaken, isn't just about *any* bumper quick release? It's putting it back on that isn't so quick without one of these kits...
