Need Help! Master Kill Switch Install Problem
So I installed my kill switch per the directions here https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1098293, but after its all connected I have no power going to the main ignition, so I get the multimeter out and everything looks good except when I wired the white/black wire to the "1' side of the switch I have no power on one of the lugs. So I have both wires mounted to each side on the '1" side, but no power on one of the lugs. Would this suggest that the switch is bad? it sure seems that way to me! I bought a switch a while back from JeffS as new in box, but perhaps I have a dud. Can anyone please confirm that what I am doing is correct? Thanks in advance!
The install has been on here several times. Drop me an e-mail and I'll send you pictures and write-up. It is really very easy with a Honda as every connection is under the hood. The question you raise offers a clue.
Take your meter and using the Ohms scales check the contacts-after removing all of the wires. The 2 large lugs should be either 0 or infinity depending on position of the switch. The 2 small terminals should do the same at the same time as the large ones. The Large terminals are for the battery + on one side and the starter and fuse panel input on the other. The 2 small terminals are for the White/blake stripe on one side and thejumper from the 50 amp fuse on the other.
