bring LOTS of blankets!still very cold here in Feb unless you catch one of the freak days that are semi-tolerable..still cold at night though.$60 hotel room doesn't seem so bad.

I've got lots of blankets. I'm only planning on spending that much for the entire trip. I'm a cheap college student. $10 to camp for the weekend. $40 for gas for the entire trip, and track time. and probably around $30 for food for 3 days.

God help us. We can justify spending $900 on new tires and brakes for VIR but we can't afford $60 for a hotel room when it's 12 degrees outside.
I need a cheaper hobby... like a room full of drunk hookers doing fat lines of coke off my rod...
But honestly I don't think that would be as much fun.

(who will be there instructing
and driving the E30, because
he still can't afford to go racing)

Re: NASA vir, sprint races and enduro (getfast)
I don't even spend $900 on tires in an entire year. Most of my tires are given to me for FREE. I drive on a lot of used tires. I'll probably be using one of my sets of free throwaway race tires.
I'd rather save some money and be cold for a couple hours while I go to sleep. Plus its nice not to have to drive to the track in the mornings.

Re: NASA vir, sprint races and enduro (.RJ)
My entry has been sent in and I've ponied up for the enduro in addition to the sprint race - thinking someone might be interested in putting up some $$ for half of the seat time. Let me know.

I'll be in the tech shed in front of the heater trying to figure out how to get the CRX home without hydro locking the motor in a flash flood or hitting a bear on the way home... anyone want to give me a ride down? i'm not feeling very lucky on my commutes to VIR and then back home!

Smokey Smokey! Err, wait that was a Miata in turn 1..
I'll promise to try to keep the blue smoke in the motor too. I've been trying not to let too much out at a time. One of these days somethings gonna go boom though.
