MRLS 1:44.9 Lap in B Series EK
Hi All,
Thought I'd post up a vid of my most recent PB at MRLS, managed a 1:44.982 on my B series 96 Civic hatch on 205/50/15 RE71R's, looks like there's still a bit more time in there based off the Data and the Vid below, i think a high 1:42 is possible next time out. Feel free to comment on anything you see that i'm doing wrong and could improve. Cheers,
thanks,

Nice driving! And super fast car!
I noticed you seem to have to turn the wheel a lot compared with my EK. Do you have the manual steering rack, which has a lower ratio?
Also, you seem to have removed the passenger airbag while keeping the cover intact. Was it hard to do that? It seems to have some hooks.. Any tips? Thanks!

Thanks Guys
Suspension Setup is simple, just off the shelf Koni Yellow's with GC Sleeves, Eibach front sway, ASR rear sway.
Power Rack, but no power steering, all manual, but yes there's quite a bit of steering input on the tighter parts of the track.

1:1.000 ratio, i just have to get up there and stay in it.. not a long gear.. but my last haha, same as a 4th in a regular 5 speed trans
thanks!
yes 4.7FD, Gear X short ratio 3rd 1:1.625, 4th 1:1.296, 5th 1:1.00
anywhere between $90-$300/day depending on organization and track.. the higher end tracks like Laguna and Sonoma usually range $180-$250/day..
Likewise, come say Hi if you see me first!

Here's one more, chasing a friends K24 Integra, his car's a bit better set up than mine, still fun chase though. I replaced my clutch slave right before this track day and didnt bleed it out all the way, hence a couple grinds here and there... i bled it inbetween sessions and was fine for the rest of the day.

looks good. the only thing that stood out for me is i think you can do turn 9 the downhill (Rainey Curve) left a bit faster. get on the gas earlier and power all the way to the exit... should find some time there.

agreed with that, i lose about 2 seconds compared to other drivers from the top of the corkscrew to T11, i need to grow the ***** to carry more speed through T9, everytime i take it i come out of it saying "i could have taken that faster..", but i've yet to commit to it.

Yeah, Sonoma is a gem. 1:57 is damn good for your first time out! Do you have a vid of that lap? That would be fun to see.
