Holy Crap.. I had no idea Hytechex was such a raving goofball.. I've known a couple people in/around my personal field of R&D that were raving goofballs and also very bright in their field.. but I've also known my fair share who were just raving goofballs.

In the case where one product is represented by an apparently reasonable person who allows his product to be used in open head-to-head tests, and another is represented by a raving paranoid goofball who spouts meaningless crap mixed with buzzwords and name-dropping while refusing to let his product be tested...

hmm.... which one would I chose?

Good point, James. I've had first hand experience dealing with Dave S. (bought his catback system for my family truckster) and he is a first rate business man -- very professional, courteous, prompt returns of emails and phone calls, etc. His products are top notch quality, too. I don't know the Hytech dude from Adam. But in the absence of all other sources of contact, context, and information, one can only form a low opinion of this guy who rages on like a lunatic. He sounds more desparate that anything else...

I tend to agree... from the outside looking in he is making himself look the ***. That is just my perception though, I am sure he thinks he is "preaching the gospel" but all he is selling is "kool-said" (sorry Scott I couldn't resist).

Nash - who once thought about investing in a Hytech header and exhaust, and then realized I wouldn't buy something from someone who treats others with such little respect.

(Disclaimer: I am not now nor will I likely ever be in the market for Integra exhaust systems so I'm not talking about my personal buying plans, just my expectations of general trends)

Scott, I have an OT question - was there ever a "Buckaroo Banzi verses the Crime Leauge" (or what ever movie title is actually mentioned at the end of "The adventures of Buckaroo Banzi across the 8th dimension") movie.

I'd say there was definitely enough there for it, but dammit I'm an engineer, not a lawyer! Surprised that his old emails were being kept -> Worried that evidence for a case was being gathered?

I'd expect both parties to come out and say "ha ha! Wasn't that a good joke?" if the "big joke" story were true. Advice from a lawyer might include a "don't make any more public comments on the matter" instruction.

Try not to get too deep into muddy waters, guys.

Sorry if it seems I'm just stating the obvious..

The only incongruous thing is some people's anecdotes about Hytech being non-goofy in person. But then again, i've heard of similar dual-nature horror stories about people.

It's not the first time John has **** on the whole board, and I'm sure it won't be the last. His friends on the board will pretty much beleive anything he says, and if anybody has been owned it is them. That they continue to willingly be owned is pathetic, but not surprising given what paying attention to human behavior will teach you. That John signs off with something about this board getting back to "tech" is just another handful of ****, all the more galling because he has never contributed anything to the boards discussions that wasn't largely empty words pressed into the service of his self-promotion.

Scott, who feels that John and his ilk devalue our community....
