where can I see a smsp exhuast

I think the SMSP seems like a good 2.5" exhaust option. It's gotten good results on the dyno from what I've seen. The tip is a little small but considering it's pretty much a custom setup I'm sure Dave can put on a 3" or 3.5" tip for better looks. I personally chose the HyTech 2.5" catback over the SMSP though, mainly because I live right next to John and he asked use my car for test fitting.

3" is stock ITR tip, I don't think that's oversized.
Do I need to continue?

hahahahhahaha! I love ignorant comments by people who have no idea what they're talking about.... I bet that exhaust looks better than your light-up windshield wiper nozzles...

That is the ugliest exhaust I have ever seen. Why would you put such a thing on a nice car like the Type R? Doesn't the Type R deserve better?

Man, what a bunch of morons. Who would buy an exhaust just because it looks "nice"? In that case I will buy a cat-back Apex'i N1 turbo model because it has the cool-looking twin pipes. George (the black car in the pictures) made 182whp on a Mustang dyno, which is notorious for reading very low. His car only has intake/header/cat/SMS full cat-back...those are some very high numbers in case you didn't know.
How often do you look at your exhaust and say "wow that looks hot, I bet it looks really cool to the people behind me"...
This is something I never understood.

I doubt the exhaust was a major contributer to the 182 horsepower. Exhaust don't give you that much power to begin with. How much power do think that exhaust is going to give you? The Type R dynos at 167 hp stock and with cold air intake and a good header you can probably make 15 hp right there so what does that leave for the exhaust nothing.

Not all ITRs dyno that high bone stock, most are around 155-160...before putting the exhaust on, the car in question had only intake and header and was at around 168. 182 - 168 = 14hp. I have ridden in this car and seen it on the dyno...what experience are you speaking from to give the SMS the

That doesn't sound right, I never heard of any exhaust putting out 14 hp at the wheels. That is crazy, that is more hp than some camshafts. I think there is something else behind this that you are not telling me.
read Ed's post, right above yours...2.5" all the way, no bottlenecks. He (Dave @SMS) sat down and designed it for the Type-R.
The only other real competitor for the SMS is the HyTech, but the SMS is cheaper and the wait isn't as long. another HT member had full Toda valvetrain (B's, etc) and gained 20whp with just HyTech header/exhaust. These are pretty strong engines and when you really open them up with no restrictions you can get some really good #'s.
No BS here, George really did get those #'s simply after adding SMS cat-back. All of our jaws dropped when we saw it.

another thing...George drove my car after my header/exhaust install and said it felt noticeably slower than his. I have JDM header (ported), Carsound Cat, Type One B-pipe, and Spoon N1.
As soon as I get some $$ I will take my Type One to SMS and have the bottleneck removed. That should free up some additional hp.

I saw this one posted awhile ago too. Painted flat black. Very sleeper-ish.
This was my exhaust. I have pretty much returned my car to stock, so I no longer own it. The exhaust pictured was Dave's first ITR cat-back. I also owned the SMSP ITR header. Great stuff! I didn't want a shiny fart can underneath my car. I told Dave what I wanted in an exhaust and he supplied exactly what I was looking for. Here are some more pics.
Looking thru the exhaust can.
