I've been following that build thread in Welding/Fabrication, and was wondering what size tires and wheels you guys are running? Looked like Bridgestone RE11s, but I thought they were only available in a 205/50-15.

Believe it or not, we're running on 205s all around right now. Dunlop Direzzas. Came to be this way because we weret oo slow to get the 225 RS-3's before they were sold out. Surprisingly, with the smooth power delivery of the twincharge, they're still very easily managed. But for sure, a push still develops after one lap, by 4 laps the fronts are cooked. It helps that we're saving about 100 lbs off the front axle with the D16 and have ballast in the rear.

We're currently in 8th place going in to the last road course event at Nelson Ledges. Andy Hollis in his k-swap EF is in 11th and we're both on the move up. Hopefully we'll both be in the top 10 by the end.

Congratulations to both civics on such a strong showing! Now that the One Lap is over would you mind sharing your setup (suspension, brakes, alignment, gears etc..) I am building my 94 eg to race in the NASA TT events at Mid Ohio, Road America etc.. and would really be interested in what you thought of your setup at those tracks. With my final drive and gearbox I currently run out of gear at both Mid Ohio and Road America. Also what type of coilovers are you running. I was thinking of doing an AST or Ground Control setup with 400/400 rates instead of the typical 380/450 rates that so many others are running. THe high speeds of those two tracks are pretty sketchy with a loose tail.

Thanks in advance and once again, GREAT JOB!!!

Your car is a true giant killer

400lb springs will be pretty damn soft for a dedicated track/race FWD Honda, especially in the front.

20-50lbs difference also most likely won't be significant enough that you'll be able to feel it. (in reference to the 380 vs. 400)

Yeah, the 225 RS3s. I'm interested in how the two compare, but can't find the damn GRM article on it.

Finished off the event with 5th and 6th places at Nelson Ledges and a 5th place on the dry skid pad, pulling 1.04g! At Nelson Ledges, our 5th place finish was our highest, beating out the 450hp BMW 325 and 500chp WRX sti for the first time. I was also the only non-pro driver in the top 8 which was pretty cool. Awesome way to finish the week.

Thnaks for all the support. We'll be uploading the rest of our pics to our blog site in the next couple days.

Thanks for the kind words. We beat on the little D16 pretty hard during the week. Just goes to show that when properly designed, boosted road race cars can go a long way.

Just added a few more vids and a bunch of pics to earlier blog posts.

Next event will be Redline Time Attack at Autobahn Country Club. Hopefully the reigning street FWD champ will be there with his SRT4
