AutoX sway bar changes; car pushes slightly
Hey folks, just wanted some thought on a sway bar change. The car's my CRX Si I run in SMF, still a SOHC A6/Z6 mini-me with bolt-ons etc, so not a lot more power than an STS car and probably about 2050lbs in race weight before driver. The car however does have the OEM ZC LSD transmission. I think the diff, while still working, isn't working as strong as it once did and the car's starting to push a bit on power. It also won't rotate as well as it used to.
Currently it's on OTS Yellows, 550lb fronts, 600lb rears, HF front sway and ST rear set on middle setting. I'm noticing what feels like the occasional spinning of an inside tire. I'm on 225/45 15 Z214 C71's that may have 40-50 passes on them all this season and still feel plenty sticky. Running 0 toe and -2.8* camber up front and .1 toe out rear and -2.1* camber rear.
My question is, I have an event this Sunday and our lot isn't the most grippy (kinda rough asphault), and I'm thinking of making a sway bar change to try to counteract this issue.
Should I drop the FSB or go up to full stiff on the rear or both? I don't have time to make it to the alignment rack before Sunday or any other spring changes before Sunday, so that's my only option.

if you're good, and you have a big enough run group, you could try both.
first i would suggest to run full stiff on the rear. if you're still pushing, just undo the end links to the front.
if you work fast enough, and the run group you are in is decent size, you could do this in a few mins.

Well with a codriver and small run groups (usually 15-20 drivers) my only shot would be to do it at lunch between sessions. Only downside is my car has been slowing considerably in the afternoon sessions due to summer Louisiana heat and the motors getting pretty tired so even if it made it faster I'd likely still be slower.

well, if you have a co driver you could do it faster.
you can also just unbolt one side of the front bar. that would still do the same effect.

I've run no fsb before when I was on R888's and a 450/550lb spring setup and turn-in was a little vague and it was a touch loose overall.

If it's me, I go stiffer on rear bar and keep rear rebound adjustment as an option to tweak the balance the day of the event. Additional rear bar should loosen the car and help put down power on corner exit...

Just went stiffer in the rear for now. Looking at the course map though I may end up dropping the bar ha. Will let you guys know how it feels after tomorrow, thanks for the input!

Thanks again for the input. Glad I didn't drop the front, car was quite on the loose side seeing how the course ended up being laid out. I think I'll keep it like this for a bit, worked pretty well, took top pax and raw lol.
