Default tools used for bondo.

Im about to do some minor body work to me teg. what tools do you use to apply the bondo to the body? What grit sand paper should i use to sand it down?

Im just looking for the neccassary(spelling?) tools to get the job done so i dont have to leave during the job.

ok man your gonna need a handfull of things...you want to get yourself a sanding block for one...i like to use 100 or 120 grit to smooth it down...get some 220 all the way to 1000 grit...reason for this is so that if you go to far and really get the paint you can sand out the scratches...your gonna need putty knives as well...a dust mask...and lightweight body filler...all at your local auto parts store...ask them for all the things you need if you forget they can help...

Ok here is your list.

- Body filler
- Spreading tool (I prefer to use 3 different sizes)
- Some sort of board to mix the bondo on with activator.
- A lot of sandpaper, not sure of grit because I don't know what you're doing
- Sanding Blocks, small, medium, large (Long Board)
- DA electrcal sander (if possible)
- Practice
- And more time than you could ever imagine (to do it right)

agreed on the time...took me 5 months to get it perfect as possible my first time

im doing the work on my 94 gsr its white and the damaged parts are on the side skirts next to the rear wheel well. The person before me had a body kit molded onto it and i guess decided to take it off. ill post some picks tomorrow of the project. ill stop by my local auto parts store and see if they can lead me in the right way also with the parts that i will need.

Thanks for the help guys ill keep you all updated as i go.
