Default Rust fix?

Bought a sedan last year and the owner never bothered to tell me that there was rust on the back door. Looks like it was painted over before. Although it's not a huge concern to me, I'd like to get it taken care of. Keep in mind that it is my daily and I do not want to spend much money on it.

Should I take a wire wheel and go to town? Or is it better to just get a new door? There is one for sale here for $50, but I'd have to color match.

rust is ALWAYS way worse than it looks. just get a new door if your not comfortable going after that repair. youd have to repaint the rusted door anyways, so you might as well paint a rust free one.

^ I agree. New door is the way to go. Save you a ton of time and possibly money.
