I will be working on it a lot this weekend since I don't work on Monday. We got the fenders back and they look alright... (for a lil more $$ you coulda had brand new fenders adi!) i'll be doing a little touch up work on them since one edge on one of the fenders is really sharp and not round like it's supposed to be!
i'm kinda anxious to start spraying that primer but i also know to take my damn time!

i think they high build will prolly fill those dents. if you are sanding it with a board and youve already cut through the clear in the center of the dent, then its prolly pretty close to flat already. heck you could fill anything with high build if you use enough paint. it'll just be really soft and will chip. a lightweight filler is always going to better because of that.
We have a gallon of Championship Pink paint. mike went to Central Campus and had a student mix a gallon of paint for him and the kid put way to much red in. When Mike got home and opened it it looked like powder pink. I had to go down to Central on Monday and mix another gallon of Champ white myself. SO if you want to paly a fun joke on Adi I have a gallon of pink paint you can have.

About the pink Championship Pink, its a really light powder pink, you can hardly tell it's pink. You have to get it out in the sunlight to even see the pink. The dumbshit that mixed it put to much red in it. Champ White is mostly white, but it has a little black, yellow, and red in it. We're just gonna use the paint as a sealer for the car, then spray the Champ White that I mixed over. You wont be able to see ANY of the pink over 4 coats of Champ White.
Ya I was back last weekend for my girlfriends mom's wedding, but I'm comming back up on the June 2nd and I'll be there through the 12th.

this is the second coat of primer. i blocked the first coat with 120 grit. like i said i got the gallon of the hi-build primer for pretty cheap so intend on trying to use a lot of it to make sure this car doesn't have any waves. second coat hasn't been blocked obviously from the pictures.

If you want to fill small dings, waves or pinholes. You can use a flowable filler.Icing, metal glaze, dolphin, etc etc. They all work great.Looking good just remember to try and not make a hard line in your primer like you have in the one pic of the door. Those are nasty to get out and usually show back up....Oh and IWATA all the way i use my sata as a primer gun

is this what you're talking about?
i read that in another thread yesterday....i still have to throw another layer of primer on that whole door so i'll make sure to cover the whole door and not mask it off like that. thanks for the tip.
we will be sealing the whole car though....would something like that show up through the sealer even after it has been feather sanded?

Why are you sanding down your high build with 120? That's a waste. Use like 220 or something to finish blocking before final coat of sealer. The 120 will cut it down too quick.
Bondo brand filler, kinda sucks, but whatever is cheapest for you.

not trying to be rude but duh i know that. i wanted to throw one coat on, sand it down till i hit some high spots, throw another 3-4 coats on, then run over it with 320. i wanted to use a lot of hi-build primer to cover up any waves in the paint that the car might have. even though the damage to the right quarter was pretty extensive (and should have been cut and rewelded) i feel like the hi build primer has helped a lot in covering up a lot of the small imperfections especially the pinholes in the primer...there's basically no need for a "glaze" filler...
i bought a huge roll of 320 and that's what i will be sanding with most of the car before the sealer goes on.
we removed the windshield yesterday and whatever was left of the harness. also washed the car down with a pressure washer. next up is to sand the inside down just a little bit in order for the primer to stick to it. after tossing around ideas of a bunch of different colors, i think the decision is made, but i'm not gonna say anything so it will just be a surprise. hah.
