Default Pre Project checkup Help

Sup guys I’m going to start working on my prelude 2000.
I recently bought this car and the body was banged up and bicolor. Lol
I want to repaint it the stock color

Now It’s summer time and I have time to work on it.
The only major thing is that there’s a little surface rust in a hit area on the rear panel, since the paint chipped off a bit and the metal was exposed.

I just want to be 100% sure as to the steps I’ll take

first I’m going to sand the surface rust area down and use Rust converter or Rust Bullet

Then use a epoxy primer over the rusted are then filler (Evercoat Extreme) and do bodywork on other areas

Wetsand the whole car and use 2k Epoxy Primer ( Any Recommendations?)

Then use a primer( Any Recommendations)

Now my question is that this car is my daily driver and is it ok to use it during this process?
Be aware that I live in Miami and the sun hits hard and its beginning to rain.
It could take me a bit of time to get the Base coat on there.
Thank A lot guys

Ill due another thread when I start up the work

The epoxy primer will create a good barrier between the metal and the environment. So you'll be fine driving around with it. I have been driving around with mine primered up like that no problem. Use whatever primer that the company makes to which you are buying paint. If you buy PPG paint, use PPG primer, If you use Dupont paint, get dupont primer.
