Icon2 Painted headlights

I got a set of headlights for my eg. They are painted yellow what would be the best way to take off the paint?

if the exterior is painted yellow then yea u will have to sand it down and re finish the plastic, there are also heavy duty headlight cleaners that MIGHT work, or maybe paint thinner as well.

They are stanleys with city light and are glass so what grit sandpaper should i use

2000 grit and headlight polish should do the trick I would think

i don't think u can refinish glass with sandpaper, i could be wrong tho. how about trying goof off?

wtf hell no dont sand glass.just paint strip or thin it. just dont get the chemical on the plastic housing

DO NOT SAND them...its glass...spray some air craft stripper on a rag and rub the head light with the rag. then clean them and buff them up

you CAN sand glass. get a piece of 1500 and 2000 grit wet sand paper and wet sand (keep it wet while sanding) and the get some rubbing compound and a buffer and finish it off. If you finish it and you are still not satisfied, do it again.

this is how we do it all the time in the shop i work in and this is even what they sell for restore kits so I know personally that it is safe.
