Really depends on the quality of work that specific painter does, the quality of the materials he uses, and what the outcome is you truely want. It could be anywhere from $500 to $3000 for a basic exterior respray depending on how good you're wanting it to come out.
Hmm depends on who you get to do it then. I got all my body work done (was a good amount of **** to do) and the trunk/door jambs and full exterior sprayed with Sikkens base and akzo nobel u-tech clear for right on $2000
it really all does depend on the quality and life u want out of the paint. Id say a good gglossy duarble base/cleear prepped just exterior ,no jams will run around 1500 to 2500 .
damn cali is crazy with the numbers
Around here,
we could do it for 1500-2000 INCLUDING jams, FOR A COLOR CHANGE.
Strictly with DuPont or PPG.
For same color range(keeping it white) should be no more than 1000 otd

he is right most shops want to be able to keep there doors open. the best 2 things i ever learned was never sell your work cheap, and if you know you can do a job for 1500 bucks tell the customer 2000 and then come in under 2k and you will have a happy customer and a happy wallet
Depends on quality of paint you're looking for and how well you haggle. I got respray, 1 doorjam, and fixed a bunch of little dents at MACCO with the integrated clear coat paid $685 out the door and got $500 in free gas. They did a pretty good job of matching the original paint too.
