Describe your car, civic hatchback? What are you refinishing, just the outer panels? This is a dark color so use a dark sealer if available. Also depends on what paint system, some reducing ratios are 2 base to 1 reducer, some 1 to 1 so the amount of reduced spray-able will be more if its 1 to 1 mix ratio.
yea its a ek hatch. and on what painting system im not too sure. i dont know alot about painting. if you could suggest something that would be great.
and yea im just going to repaint the outside since im going with the same color.

If you use a dark or black sealer, 2.5-3 quarts spray-able should be fine. Plan on having leftovers, you don't want to run out while spraying. I prefer the BASF RM Diamont paint system, but all the big name auto paint companies make good stuff.
depends on the color and brand line also, you will not get a good coverage if you are using **** paint for intense color, 3 coat of nason white will not give you enough pigment just from experience
are you looking for single stage, base/clear? what color is your car? if your doing base/clear, i would find you nearest ppg dealer, order OMNI Plus, half gallon and a half gallon of reducer then shop line clear #661 with medium activators. i usualy seal everything i paint also, that goes on before the pant though.

This color can be sprayed as a single stage. However, if you want it to be oem like, just do base/clear how it comes from the factory. Being a pearl its going to look better IMO and you will have more flexibility if you go 2 stage. Its not going to be cheap if you don't have all the basic necessary materials like high build primer, sealer, cleaning solvents, reducer, hardener, cups, strainers, tack rags ect. You will need more than just color and clear, wait on it if you don't have the money. It will look alot better and last longer in the end if you use descent/quality materials. Also since its a dark color, imperfections and flaws like missed chips and missed slight dings/ bad body work will be very noticeable to people who have a good eye.
