what kind of gel coat (watever it called) is this or is it bondo? and will it crack like bondo?

Wow, they killed 2 completely different things with that video, what was once a good car, and what was once a good song.

Its either fiberglass or high density foam, and probably a combination of the 2 when it was all said and done.

 

In the first pic, it looks like they used clay to have something to mold off of. Then it looks like they covered it with fiberglass.

 

hmm Im not 100% sure but they left out alot in that video. It appears to me that they used clay to get the shape of the sideskirts, fender flares, front and rear bumpers prolly even the shape of the invader style hood. Typically you would then make a negative mold from the clay. Then you would make the part in fiberglass out of that mold. But when you see the rear bumper in the 1 pic it looks half clay half fiberglass, so Im really not sure what they were doing.

 

k thx.... wat if i trying to make a kit out of my stock bumper how would i make it? lay fiberglass over it n use filler? and what type of filler?

 

looks to be clay for sure... thats how they start making a mold of their choice.. then cover it with fiberglass to make the actual piece

 

u can try construction foam to give it a shape...then fiberglass
