Default Eurethane?

Im doing body work on my crx bumper (91), I have been sanding it down the last few days with a DA, using 180 to strip. I was doing good, but, I used some filler and I think I used the wrong kind. It was fiberglass filler and I know it probably is the wrong thing to use. My question is, would it hurt it to use some 80 grit and just take it down to the bare eurethane and then just go up gradually and smooth it out? Help me!

What are you trying to fill? Is it a Honda bumper, or aftermarket urethane, like a wings west. Try to stay away from using 80 grit on bumpers, it's hard to get the scratches out, without filling with 2 part bumper repair filler.

I got you, I didn't understand at first. You want to knock the fiberglass down with 80 grit. Thats probably your best bet considering how tough glass filler is to sand. After 80 grit use 120, 180, then prime. Block the primer with 180 or 220 after it cures, then prime again.

Blocking is just sanding down filler and or primer filler (with some form of sanding block), to level it off.

sand down your filler by hand ( with a block like said above ) this will make your life easier when your trying to get the panel straight. i personally wouldnt use the DA.

Cool thanks this helps alot, so one other question, are there different types of primers out for this? I also have heard alot of people say to use adhesion promoter for eurethane? Is Bulldog an adhesion promoter? Let me know, going to finish sanding them painting hopefully this weekend. Thanks for the input so far!
