Which bondo is best?
I'm new to body work and am prepping a Del Sol I just picked up for paint. There's some deep cuts on the bumpers and I also need to smooth out the fenders which I flared. I picked up some Bondo Premium but is this the best stuff to use? Will it adhere to the plastic bumpers and is it a good dent filler or should I be using something that's not as thick?

depends on what you need it to do, if you want it easy to sand, or need it to have strength. I like Upol Brand body filler from the U.K. or rage gold.

Re: Which bondo is best?
Thanks for all the help guys, I really appreciate that. It seems like it's mostly just personal preference. Bondo I've used before is thick and may take more to sand down, but it seems to hold up well. I just didn't want to start using it and then later find out I used a totally wrong product, or something that took me way longer then it should have. Kind of like using finger putty on screw holes in drywall instead of on baseboard pin nails like it's meant for.

Re: Which bondo is best?
just remember... bondo works best for dents that aren't more then 3mm deep... meaning if u just so happen to have dents... pull them first as much as you can be4 u fill them

sure it will take longer to get dry.sandable area, but if it gives you 5 more minutes of use its worth it
