i searched all over google.
and found ONE base coat clear coat kit for about $220


does anyone know of any good quality kits out there???
im looking for a smokey gray/dark gun metal color

 

Do you mean like brand, package deals or what? It depends on the quantity of paint. 220 for clear and base sounds pretty cheap. The quality of paint is something to not skimp on. I have painted my car twice using NASON which is in that price range. It's not bad...but its not the greatest either. I'm getting ready to paint again. I think I'm going with dupont. I would go to the local paint store and see what they have. Local bodyshop may have enough in there paint room to hook you up for cheap to....it's worth a look.

 

i spent about 300 dollars of U pol primer midori green bascoat(1 gallon) and Clear Coat the most expensive was the basecoat it was like 150 dollars for the cheapest. so i am in the process of painting my 1992 integra gsr that color because i hate the milano red. so far i almost sanded the entire car and got to fix some body damage.

 

where did you go to buy the materials
was it all in one kit or did you have to buy them seperatly

the one i found came with a gallon of base, and clear, and i think a quart of hardener and sealer something like that
