mitsubishi Alternator help <<<<
My roomate has a 94 Eclipse 1.8
the car will not start. We Checked the starter bought a new battery. Still no start. The next morning the battery was dead. So we pulled the alternator and got it checked. It was fine but . . . we noticed there was a wire "possible ground?" not connected to anything at all. We cant find where it goes.
What is this wire for and what does it connect to? Would it stop the car from starting? Could it be the reason the bat is drained overnight?
below is the wire . . .
The wire comes straight off the cluster of connectors that attach to the back of the alternator. srry camera phone pics best i could do right now.
What is this wire ? where does it belong conected to?
We need to get this car running asap. any help would be amazing!

Re: mitsubishi Alternator help <<<<
gonna need more info then that. A clip?
on the alternator itself? There is not one. I don't even see a spot where one would connect. The plug plugs in the back and the other wire assembly screws on with a Philips head. Cant figure out by looking at it where this wire would go?
more info please.
