It's barely faster than the stock GTI for way more money.

It's also much more refined, has a VR6, is AWD and is limited in production to 5,000 units.

Not to mention the R32 exclusive Deep Blue Pearl paint.

Should I go on?

perhaps its the V6's 15 degree narrow angle? of course there's the debate whether its really a V6 or wacky straight 6 lol. either way its a unique design.

The engine. It's kind of a V6 and kind of a I6, and the sound it makes is very very nice.

I think the new Golf R pretty much destroys the R32, though. Lighter, more powerful, and IIRC not more expensive.

nice! I love R32's. They're beautiful cars, Has room for Modifications, Great purr, and the AWD is nice too.

My friend had an 04 r32 and lets just say, you would have to drive it to actually appreciate what it has to offer

If you're all about being exclusive, I guess you made the right choice, but bang for the buck wise...

When you factor in how the car holds value it's probably a better buy than a new GTI. The R32 isn't going to depreciate very much as all over the next few years.

In terms of performance/$$$, it is a little bit lacking, though.

Definitely can't disagree with you there. I like the linear power band and the way the car is planted to the road, but the power or lack thereof is disappointing.

Overall though, I'm content.

Thanks man.

The wheels or hit or miss, but for some reason I like them.

I have something in the works for next season though.

I've always been a fan of the C4 wheels thoughmso I will probably keep them if money permits.

I wish vette wheels had the right offset for my GTO. The bholt pattern is the same and it's a cheap way to get wide wheels, and thus wider tires, which the car deperately needs).

Very clean!!! Its it your DD? How is it in the winter with the AWD? Also, jw how much space is in the back seat? I watched the Top Gear Episode with the MKV R32 and Jeremy fit comfortably in the back...u think enough room for 3 kids under the age of 10....if needed?

What offset do you need for the GTO?

Thanks man!

I still have my 1994 Civic Hatch, but I do drive the R32 a lot more than I should.

As for back seat space, I am not too sure. I never let anyone back there and I actually just pulled the whole rear seat setup out.

I think three kids would definitely fit with ease though. Hope this helps.

I actually Plasti-dipped the grill before, but put one too many coats on it.

I think stock is +48 in the rear with not a ton of room left until you hit the fender. I think
+35 would probably be the lowest offset you can fit in the rear, and maybe +50 on the high side? It's mainly that there isn't much room between the inside of the tire and the suspension, a problem magnified by the corvettes higher-offset, wider wheels.

I might be able to get away with the 17x9 from the front of a c5 all around, but I wouild have to do some more research.
