Just sending it out to a local machine shop (undecided right now…) to balance, hone, etc. but it’ll be assembled by my bro.
As far as internals…we’re keeping it really simple, seems like everyone who has issues with built/F.I. VQ’s on my350 and driver just do too much to the motor. So it’s going to be Wiseco pistons (8.5 compression), K1 connecting rods (still deciding), ACL bearings, ARP hardware, stock heads, camshafts, and just about everything else. I’m planning on keeping the GT35R so this motor probably won’t see much more than 500 whp anyways.
Anything new on your HR?

Not much. I have the diff mount but I need to get off my *** & install it.
How much did you pay for the block?

im still undecided about going f/i or staying n/a. n/a would be easier. just i/h/e. but then f/i, theres single, twins, stock, build it, etc etc. ahhhhh

I had a NA G35 (boltons, cams, gears, etc). Unless you plan on spinning the motor past 7500 you get much more out of this platform with FI

yeap your right. thats what i gathered from all the times i browsed driver and my350z. but on those sites it just seems so bias. Maybe its just me. My original plan is to go fi, but idk anymore. i just want to be clean again haha.

Gas mileage…I use to get 21-22 with 50/50 city/highway driving, 18-19 now with the single turbo.
Going with a really simple build, Wiseco pistons and K1 rods, ACL bearings, ARP hardware, etc. everything else will be 100% OEM. Just want enough to support 550 whp reliably.

13’s are no problems at all, but haven’t seen anyone in the 12’s naturally aspirated yet…at least in a G, 350Z’s have done it though…most people end up boosting their G so there aren’t a lot of people chasing 1/4 times NA anyways.

I’m running a single turbo on 4.5 psi (360 whp), breaking in the clutch right now…250 miles left to go… but I’m anticipating trap speeds around 112-116 mph. The other VQ in the family was trapping 116 mph in a lighter 350Z with the same amount of whp .

Did you really have to quote his whole post when it's just 2 posts above yours? O_o
