Engine light & TCS light & code
I have 2000 odyseey it runs great . the engine light was on for years . Autozone told me that was emission leak no big deal (p1457) . Recently my TCS light comes on and stay on when I drive 10-15 minutes . restart the van . the TCS light goest away , but will come up and stay on after I drive 10-15 minutes . the van still running great .. my friend ran the code for me and found (p1457 p0401 p0420) , should I replace the o2 sensor ? do I need change ERG or converter ?Thhank

Re: Engine light & TCS light & code
How many miles do you have on your Odyssey?
Why do you want to replace an O2 sensor if you have a TCS code?
Since this is a transmission code, and you obviously abused your transmission as much as you could, I would start with the drain/refill. Solenoids screens might be clogged and three times drain/refill may unclog them.
Good luck,
Sam

current mileage is around 150,500. The van runs great . no problem to switch between gears. should I still do the solenoid drain /refill ???

Re: Engine light & TCS light & code
I did the oil change on Sunday TCS light was on once on Monday .. then TCS did not come on Tue & today when I drive for 20-30 minutes . ( engine light is on for years). I will try drain/refill transmission fluid....
but is that possible for dirty sensor somewhere , since Sunday was raining day ?

Re: Engine light & TCS light & code
By the way it is quite easy to do on Hondas.
I have done two Accords and my son's Pilot. To do the drain you just open the drain plug. Much easier than do the oil change.
For Pilot it was 3.7 quarts per refill. You just need to be very particular with keeping the fluid level right.
Good luck,
Sam
