engine quits in D4 when hot, every time throttle is applied. usually re-starts. re-dies on repeat
engine runs perfect when hot in R, thru stall test in all rpms, even immediately after it died in D4
engine runs perfect cold and up to temp, any gear lever position selected

Good evening, i have a Honda Odyssey 2001 i purchased from a friend with a problem, the vehicle won't take reverse. I am new to this so am asking for help please? it is a 3.5 v-tec, can anyone help me? we can further chat here or whatsapp? 1 242 375 5598

And have more to add for qualification:
installed new "main relay" as its circuit board was a little discolored, but no visible cracks
And a new ignition switch (electrical part only) because of seeing recall activity - this one looked OE
symptoms exactly the same
HOT only, UPHILL only, DRIVE ranges only
added info: on same hill immediately after it died, BACK UP in R no problem
before new main relay, dash lights went a little crazy when expiring, but not all lights would flash on/off. NOW THEY ALL DO.
AND: right hand sweeping turns at speed, same "engine quits running" in the turn
also, when it acts erratically for the second before stalling, if you floor it it runs again in passing gear at full throttle
getting closer?
