Lookin for a GREAT import machine shop/engine builder in Portland area
Hey anybody......I am coming home to Vancouver soon and I am doing a SERIOUS build on the ole Teg (overbore, forged pistons, balance, the works). I need to know a reputable machine shop in the Portland area that can hook me up and knows how to do import stuff. I have heard too many stories of guys using techniques for a V8 on a 4 banger and hurting engines...ie too large of clearances. Can anyone hook me up? Thanks

try groundzero motorsports on 82nd ave & sacramento st. in portland (5032563278), or horsepower freaks on airport rd (5032565600) although theyre a little pricey, they have a fully equiped shop.
if youre into saving a little money, call or make the 35 min drive down to salem and check out pac-west automotive on commercial street (5033612275). they are usually less expensive most shops in the portland area and they specialize in honda/acuras.
ive used pacwest and was very happy with tom's (i think thats his name) work.

groundzero and torquefreaks are not machine shops, they send their motors out for machining, just like everyone else.

Tabors has done the machine work on a 9 sec Colt, several 9 and 10 sec Supras and at least one 490 hp Civic. just take your stuff to Richard

We have a great machine shop up here at the Delta Park Baxter Auto Parts. On the North side of the building. The machinist there are awesome. And the prices are good = PM me and I'll hook you up if you want.
They don't do any assembly though. They do everything but assembly, so balancing rotating assemblies etc. But then you'd have to find someone else to put it together if you can't do it yourself.
