WTF, my starter is dead? I went inside for ten minutes and came back outside and my Si wont start. I haven't had any starting problems up to this point.. my radio and lights work but the car just clicks when I try to turn it over. I tried a known working battery and it did the same thing

you hit a starter because the pin that goes in and out gets stuck and that way you hear a clicking noise its the one part i would ever hit with a hammer.

Grr.. so I'm taking the starter off, I have the two 14mm bolts out, and the two wires unplugged.. and it wont budge? Do I have to really rip on it or what? As far as I can tell, its not connected anywhere else....

lmfao, i was sitting at lunch with some kid whose going to my school for a couple weeks with a 92 hatch...he was telling everyone at the lunch table that it had a b18c5 swap and that it would take anything around, well i kept my nose out of it till he started going around the table asking what people drove. well it came to my turn and i said a del sol. After a short discussion about hondas he was suprised to find out that i knew a bit about the H. we all headed outside to the parking lot (the kid was hesitant to go) and i see a rusty white hatchback with no exhaust. i tell him to pop the hood and he says "i cant, the latch is broken" so being the smartass i naturally am i go to my car, grab vicegrips, and pull the latch. i pop the hood and open it up and before me sits a D15B7!!!!!! i give him a funny look and hes giving me the "please dont say anything please dont say anything" look. so i said "so i have a type r engine in my car too?" then i laughed, shut his hood. and walked off

try putting it in neutral and hooking the starter up to a 12v source, maybe thatll vibrate it free?
