I'll state in advance that this is a forum to discuss all types of lighting topics, so anyone who thinks it will be fun to flame this poster rather than offering assistance will have the reply deleted and user rating points docked.
OP, I've never installed an under-body kit, but I'd imagine there are others here who have and can offer some tips. All I can offer is that you should ensure that they're up out of harm's way, and if there aren't special brackets included, heavy-duty zip ties should suffice.

Yea I went and bought some, but I am kinda puzzled as in where to zip the tubes so no damage is done to them.

you will need to jack the car up and look at the bottom. the front and back bumpers on a civic usually need to have an opening cut out of the bottom where they wrap under and attach to the bottom of the car. that way you can put the tubes up high enough to protect them and hide them, but still allow the light to shine down on the ground. ususally you can cut a section out between the mounting bolts and still leave enough plastic for the bumpers to be sturdy. on the sides there isnt a really good way to hide the tubes. normally if they would be partially seen you can run a strip of electrical tape down the tube and turn that side facing outward to keep it from being seen. on a civic almost the entire tube will be seen. in this case you can go to lowes or home depot and by aluminum L channel in about a 5-6 foot section. paint this black and mount it to the bottom of the car on each side and then mount the tubes behind these. that way the side tubes will be hidden and have some protection. goos luck.

One more thing I would add: check with your local police department and see what color is illegal to have also make sure that the neon it self can not be seen from under the car, just the glow. I know if the neon tubing is able to be seen when the car is in motion, it is a violation w/in the Texas.

pretty sure that in WI neons are illegal, doesn't matter if you can see the tube or just the glow
visual distraction to other drivers
just saying............

in NC the only thing is you cant have red or blue,(which i see all the time) and they cant be more than a certain candlepower so many feet away from the vehicle. so as long as the tubes are hidden(the way there supposed to be) the light will only shine downward anyway. too bad low glow isnt still making kits, they used smaller lexan that was easier to hide.

in WI they can be white or amber (yellow)
any other color will be a ticket...
and thats pretty much a guarenteed ticket from any cop.
Most people put neons on show cars or flip em on when in a parking lot...
i didnt know people around here were still doing neons ha

i would ask for the general statute number and check it my self. i came to the conclusion a long time ago that half the cops dont have a clue whats in the motor vehicle law book. you can go to a community college that teaches BLET and purchase your states criminal law book. that way you can verify thats what it says. we used to have cops in a town close by writing tickets for oem taillights on lexus vehicles at one point.

I know here in VA you can't even have the tubes on, I had them for a while and failed inspection b/c of them. I would just check the laws like the others were saying. I'm pretty sure you can find them online somewhere.
