I'd like for you show me the exact quote where we made that type of statement. Never once did we tell you to buy an S2000 or a TL to get achieve brighter headlights. All we mentioned that there are other alternatives instead of the glare-inducing PnP kits that are out. These reliable alternatives are only 50-100 more than their lower quality PnP counterparts.

I see that you have an EK with a GSR swap in your sig. If you wanted 170hp so bad in a stock car why didn't you buy the GSR which comes with 170hp stock? Wtf?

In the end, I'm glad that "50-55 watt" kits are becoming more popular. It'll be nice to see that those who utilize those kits on stock projectors will slowly disappear from the roads over time. If you don't understand why, enjoy the increased illuminance while you can, hah, because it won't last for long.

ebay companies don't need to do R&D, that's why they can be so cheap.

basic economics says that when one company, say philips or whoever first made HIDs, comes out with a new technology, in this case, HIDs, other companies will make the same technology, and since the supply goes up, the price will eventually go down due to most consumers already having them. because the first company did all the R&D before they released the product, all other companies will have to do is copy the technology, without doing R&D, and they will get the same result.

now i'm not saying that HIDs in reflector housing looks good, but your statements about ebay kits being flimsy are not necessarily true. for some of us that don't have the extra money for a retrofit, PNP kits are our best options. go ahead and flash people without retrofits, but don't call them ricers. would you call a little girl with fake diamonds a faker just because she doesn't have real diamonds? that's just my opinion.

and don't say a PNP kit in general looks like crap, because a PNP kit in an oem housing probably looks the same as a complete oem retrofit

no it actually looks better with a PNP. At least when your looking at the car, projectors just always look like ****, but they distribute light better.

By using that analogy you're comparing yourself and other PnP users to ignorant children, just to let you know :p But if you weren't setting out to belittle yourself and instead used the example of a grown woman wearing fake diamonds--then yes, she would be faking the real thing. Would somebody riding on fake spoon rims be faking it?

That's a vast display of ignorance considering there's many comparison pictures of PnP kits and oem retrofits in this forum and in this very thread! I highlighted the "probably" just to show how little you know.

Please take a look at the bolded quotation and explain to me why ricers is not a befitting term?

I'm just taking a blind stab at this, but I'm willing to bet that most of us spend most our time driving while sitting inside the car, where projectors appear to "distribute light better." Unless you've found a way to drive the car while admiring its external appearance from the outside, I will say it again...and slowly this time....rrriiicceerrr.

And I repeat, please buy the 55 watt kits. Hell, buy whatever 70+ watt kits they'll probably release in the future. Do us all a favor.
