how do u keep high and low beam on ???? on 93 hatch
anyone know any wiring tricks to keep the low and high beam on, on my 93 hatch. I have bi xenon hid and need the high beam to keep the sheild open, but i dont have power to them so i need the low beam on as well
Relays and diodes....

For those with bixenon PROJECTORS and no halogen, its two relays... not three.. just take out the relay that deals with the halogen high beam.
The first relay provides the main power to the ballasts
The second relay prevents the lights from being "flashed" on for the flash to pass
If yours is + trigger h4, then ground the bi-xenon solenoids to the chassis/h4 ground, and the + of the solenoid to the hi-beam+
if yours is - trigger h4, then hook up the bi-xenon solenoids to the h4 common +, and ground it at the hi-beam -

Use a relay set but you dont need diodes for a 5th gen civic. Pull the headlight switch, there will be a blank spot. The low beam wire is a big thick white wire, there may be a red stripe. Move that wire to the blank spot and your low will stay on with a your high.

Because you want the ballast powered at all times when the headlight is on. Whether its a low beam only or a bixenon. Mine is wired so the stock wires activate a pair of relays for the ballasts (stock low beam to 1 side, chassis ground the other side, high beam solenoid is wired to stock high beam and ground). No diodes or extra relays to clutter up the bay. I actually used the relays from the A/C is got rid of in the car.

radio shack, parts express, del city, installer resources...
relays and diodes are just parts....
using relays and diodes, allows you to modify it without cutting/splicing into the stock wiring...
to keep it clean use an h4 male adapter.

so if i do switch the wire, will my lows work as normal? and when i turn my highs on the lows will stay on along with the highs?

no right now all i have is the headlight and the stock harness, still a lil confused on what kinda relay to get or just on how to hook them up?

Yes, so you shouldnt do it with the H4 bulbs. It might burn them out faster from increased heat. Youre still going to need a relay for the ballasts also.

could someone provide a pic of a real relay and how you would go about hooking it up, i have two relays off the ac stuff
