Fog Light Wiring
I bought a ebay eg fog light kit not to long ago. The kit comes with stock 55 watt bulbs and they weren't bright enough more me so I upgraded to 100 watt bulbs and repeated to blow the 30 amp fuse. After reading up on this thread........

It seems that the wiring supplied in the kit isn't thick enough to take the load of the drawl the bulbs are pulling. I'm curious has anyone else had this problem after they upgraded bulbs? I can't even see the kit being functional without upgrading the bulbs, seriously.

Well I bought some 12 guage wire and I'm going to rewire the entire kit, which should be fun. The wire is rated at 288 watts and 24amps. So my two 100 watt bulbs should be fine. I'll let you guys know how it goes considering nobody has done this before?
I don't think that the wiring itself was responsible for your blown fuses, but upgrading it can't hurt, especially since stock wiring rarely provides full operating voltage to the lights. I would caution you against using 100 watt bulbs though, since they generate a considerable amount of heat, and even if they don't immediately melt your fog lamps, they will certainly cause accelerated deterioration of the plastic.
Thats a valid point I never thought about before. The heat generated by the bulbs, but for some reason I don't think its going to be a problem. I might take it into consideration though and coat the inside of the fog light housing.
