HID high beam hook up?

Default HID high beam hook up?

i have a set of catty XLR bi exnon and im not sure on the high beam wiring, Theres 4 wires, 2 for the ballas and 2 for the high beam solenoid. read in a thread somewhere that you can burn it up somehow, anyone got any ideas

red wire coming out of the solenoid goes to the positive high beam, black goes to the shared negative.
Positive low beam goes to the ballast, share negative goes to the ballast as well.

i figured that was how it was to be wired, can another person verifi that it is correct so that im 100% on this

I'd rather use a relay harness with a double relay and a diode going from the high beam section to the low beam. That way, when you have your high beams(shield) activated, you will have power to your low beams. Whenever dual-filament systems, the high beams are activated, there will be no power to the low beams. In a case like that, if there's no diode to give the low beams power, whenever you flash your high beams, your solenoid will be activated but your low beams will turn off thus the ballast will get no power.

Very true, where would i find a relay of the sort, possiably radio shack and what would i be looking for, everyone just says get a relay. Well what type?

it is a bixenon relay HARNESS to be clear. It isnt just a relay but pretty much a schematic using relays and diodes. I'll get you the schematic later today.

relays can be bought on ebay...
has to be 30-40A relays
