H.I.D. Question
Yellow or blue it doesn't matter I just installed 10k today and love them. Yellow you can see farther with but I think the blue looks sick. Up to you really both will be much better than stock.
Trending Topics
The higher you go above 4300k the less light you have. 8k+ often puts out less light than your stock halogens.
Which, to be honest, is terrible lighting anyway.
The highest I personally think anyone should go is 6k. Less attention, still mostly white light.
But I suppose some people don't mind making their cars more dangerous so oncoming drivers think an audi is about to pass them when it's really a 20 year old bucket.

I've basically given up helping these noobs. The purpose of HID lighting is for better visibilty, not the accessibilty to capsules that produce blue, green or pink light.
It does seem that a large quantity of the pods in the lighting forum tend to do with plug and play kits, and almost always blue/purple.
i think it's ignorance.
the first time i saw hid's i was like wtfomgbbq!!!??!!! they were so blue, i really wanted them.
however, as i gathered information and learned light output vs the "color" of the light,
i made a more informed decision and got my 5000k lights as opposed to the ridiculous purple, pink, blue i see everybody else using.

how can blue, purple, yellow, or pink be brighter than white?
driving around with your highs on is illegal unless circmstances are permitting. not to mention it's annoying/ dangerous to other drivers.
now since there are no regulations on aftermarket hid manufacturers one company's 8000k can be less blue than another company's and so on and so forth... so your 8000k may not be as blue as they should or maybe they're bluer than they should be who knows.
It's a matter of scientific fact.
You've probably missed this a few times on your way into this forum:

This is what your junk@$$ HID kit looks like:

vs. a proper projector retrofit
How can you NOT want that sexy@$$ sharp cutoff and nice blue color band? You know, the blue colored crap is for people who want to imitate that blue color band on the projectors, which is caused by the lens optics, NOT by the color of the light.

mmmmmmmmm nice cutoff
