i run a 6k pnp hid kit.. but i actually adjusted my headlights so they dont blind other people as much as i could.

yeah i know using the stock lenses still spreads light, but not like when i get stupid suv's behind me with them and i cant see for the life of me.

It annoys crap outa me. I have considered putting spotlight in my trunk facing back just to flash them back. My trunk has remote open and it closes when it comes back down

Firstly, the majority of these replies are talking about color temp.

You CANNOT AIM YOUR LIGHTS if you're using HID's in STOCK CIVIC headlights.

Retrofit your headlights, and use the correct color temp.

Wow, I don't even know as if any state troopers, sheriffs, etc in New York even pull
people over for HID's that are completely obnoxious.

I guess it somewhat depends on where you're located to determine how law enforcement will react to this (even though it's illegal everywhere), profiling definitely can vary geographically.

Sounds like many of you live in, or have drawn police attention with your HIDs in densely populated cities and suburbs.

Well, I love upstate NY for this reason I guess. Many mods to cars go completely unnoticed unless you're blatantly and noticeably stepping outside the law (i.e. no front plate, tinted tails, super loud exhaust etc) (though the loudness 71 Chevy pickup with open headers is excused by cops all the time simply because its an old truck)

Does anybody else notice the trend?

yea i got pulled over for no front plate even know it was in my front window which i had no idea was illegal but i have never had eny probelms with my hids, or when my exhuast broke and i had to run open header for 2 days, i got pulled over 3 times.

my friends dad runs his 70's camaro open header all summer long for years,, never been pulled over 1 time.

i think the police have more important things going on then to mess with someone over lights,
also i think it depends on the type of car your driving,

flashing the suv's back?

ive asked all my friends if my lights make it hard for them to see if i drive behind them and they say no they dont notice.. but suv's and big huge trucks shine their headlights right into my car which goes to my rearview mirror making it like impossible for me to see whats going on infront of me

the main reason their lights are blinding is because there physically higher off the ground. its that simple. tint your windows if you can. otherwise get use to it.
