8000K is only a color. It will actually have less output than 5000K and be blue. I wouldn't go higher than 8000K and you should be fine.

lol this whole lighting section is kind of funny because these questions have been asked so many times and people argue about the same thing over and over..example: "retro fit your headlights".."pnp are illegal".."blue is illegal".."i got 30k its soooo brighttt and jdm"

there is no legal PNP kit any where in the us,
yours are leagal i call bull sh*t on that.
show me any pnp kit the is dot legal.
the only legal form of hid is to have them in OEM projectors. and those are legal everywhere.

No offense....but anything blue just gives more reason for people to hate Hondas.

5000k and 4500k are your best options for visibility and white light.

just what he said. that color is because of the intensity, not the actual light assembly.

I have 8000K HID's in my EK Coupe, when I first turn them on they look a little purple but after they warm up a bit, looks like standard HID's.

a friend of mine got pulled over in his Evo cause the cop thought his tint was too dark and headlights were blue. After the cop put the tint meter on the window and it came back clean, he stood in front of the car and said to turn the lights on. As long as the lights look white from the front. Its fine.

The cop was probably too dumb to know that they were factory headlights and was just tryin to **** over another import on frivolous charges...but as long as your lights are white in front..youre good

8000K lights do NOT look white from any angle, nor do they put white light on the road. That's what 4300K HID does. Either you have blue lights or your lights aren't 8000K.

reading through this thread gives me temporary schizophrenia lol. "hid's are cool", " i hate your kind...," as long as you aim them, theyre awesome on most cars, sweet to drive with, and if you put halos/ "angel eyes", theyre the coolest thing on the road, as long as theyre not in other ppls eyes.

In my area you'll get a lot of head from the 5-0 running a shitty PnP kit.

Especially if it's Blue or Purple.
