Default 25w HID?

im looking for an H8 set for my bike. the stock halogen bulbs are 35watt but I'm really trying to lower the power usage on the bike. I'm not trying to blind people or have ridiculous purple lights. my goal here is to lower the power, look at least semi legal.

HID Bulbs are 35w. But they put out more lumans that Halogen. So its a toss up for you. I have seen plenty of bikes with HID.

that makes no since... there is no reason that a HID can only be 35 watts. what about this? http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/...d.php?t=235091

You are talking about a HID Flashlight. Anything in an Automotive spec will be 35-55w. If you are concerned about glare. Then you might want to stick with a brighter Halogen. An H8 with 4300k will be no problem. Just don't get over 6000k

my thought was that since its so much higher lumens/watt that i could go with a lower power setup. #1 concern, lower power than 35 watt.

hid is less power draw than halogen anyway. Its just on startup that it uses more. Just get a projector from whatever car you like (TSX, TL, FX45, etc) and stick it in your reflector housing.
