Default K24a1 vs k24a4

I got a k24a1 and a k24a4, im doing a k swap on my car will be doing the type s oil pump and changing the head to a k20z3 head probably with the cams and everything which block would be better to do it with? Will be doing rods and pistons as well too

If you are going to replace the OE rods and pistons, then either block will be just fine. The only benefit to using the K24A1 (CRV) block is that the main girdle is flat, so your A2 oil pump will NOT have to be modified to fit.

Ive read that the a1 block doesn't have oil squirters, would that be a problem at higher hp?

The K24A4 doesn't have oil squirters either. They are present to reduce piston temps for the reduction of knock.

You dont want them. They bleed off oil and create lots of windage. If youre pushing the tuning hard enough to need them, you would want forged pistons anyway.

Ok thank u, any other tips for building a k24, ive never done one before and im trying to learn alot more about them
