I have a 04 CRV and am about to swap out the clutch and flywheel, my question is can I use a different K clutch and flywheel combo or are the flywheel bolt patterns different. I believe the clutches are different and wanted to swap it to a more readily available clutch. Thanks for any input.

they are the same except for the flywheel bolts holding the flywheel to the crank. since a crv is auto it will have a flexplate and the flexplate bolts are too short. MT flywheel bolts and clutch setup for what ever transmission you plan to use as long as its K series

Thanks for the info, my CRV is a 5spd manual and I wasn't quite sure if another k series flywheel would bolt up, hopefully the input shaft is the same spline count which im pretty sure it is I'll check the part numbers in the honda catalog to verify.

Yes it is possible to use other k series clutches.
If you are getting a k20 clutch/pressure plate kit, it will not work with k24 flywheel.
You will need a RSX type S flywheel.
If you do plan to keep the k24 flywheel, then obviously its best to just get an OEM crv clutch kit.

OP what did you end up doing? I'm in the same boat with a 2006 5 speed manual CRV. I just ordered an RSX-S K20A2 flywheel and a stage 1 exedy organic clutch. Hopefully this will turn out well. Did you stick with the CRV flywheel or go RSX-S?

I ended up going the same route, rsx flywheel and clutch.
