Default k20 help!

So to for starts. I really don't know to much about Hondas. I am going to buy a k20and boost it. I will put my gtx 3076 on it or a gtx35. I don't know yet. It will go in a crx. For starts what kind of ECU am I going to need?

1.Can I just run a hondata?
2. What would be a good piston for it?.... I know this is old school but for c/r I was thinking 9-1.
3. Also I read that the crx gauge cluster is not electronic so should I swap the cluster from another car?? e.i ( s2000, newer SI, or something)
4. Also how do the k series run with e-85? (on my focus ST) I had to run Port injection to handle e85.
5. I don't want to over kill on power so my goals are 4xx-500whp.
6. This is going to be a mid engine swap.
7. How much boost can a k20 handle? (ST runs 25-28psi) on e85. 21-22 on pump..

Anyways just need some info I want to build a Honda the right way.

Hondata KPro is a solid choice for a daily driven engine in the target power levels that you have quoted. I would use JE or CP pistons for your application... and a flat top piston will be more responsive when out of boost... not to mention more fuel efficient. Also, you will likely be able to use 3 psi LESS boost to make the same target HP with a 10:1 compression ratio engine over a 9:1 compression ratio engine. CRX speedometer is cable driven, so if you want a working speedo you will have to select a newer design that uses an electronic VSS signal. Gains can be realized when running E85, but they will not be as great as you have experienced with the Focus... primarily because the combustion chamber quality is far superior in the K20 engine when compared to the Focus ST and thus, more ignition timing can be run without issue on pump gas. 450-500 wheel HP can be done on a stock block and a quality forged piston and billet rod combination. Don't focus on PSI, focus on the HP number. If you stay around your peak target numbers, and the tune is safe/conservative... there is a good chance of long term survival. Speak with your tuner about the levels that he is comfortable with.
