Project help
I have a 1998 civic lx and it has 261k on it and I did the head gasket and timing and just changed the tps sensor. I did the timing awhile ago ran great again , then I drove through a storm and by time I got home it was puttering and died as soon as i stopped . I turned it on the next day and it was knocking . I tried to do the timing again and it's still knocking , I changed the to cylinder head ,new belt , I don't have the timing cover and for some reason the lines on the crank don't match up with the arrows on the head . I always put the bottom at tdc and top I have the crank at UP . Now when I turn it over it revs all the way up to 4000 while knocking and the throttle isn't open , my foot isn't even on the gas and I took the cable off the throttle body and it still does it . Do I need it on the "compression stroke" ? I really need assistance
